I have been shooting landscapes for many years, first starting out with an Olympus OM10 and OM40 35mm SLR. With digital I used Canon both apcs and full frame before coming home to Olympus.
It's the system that suits my style and inspires me to be creative, without becoming a burden. After changing to Olympus I now shoot exclusively with it, with the EM5 mk2 and EM1 mk2, with Pro lenses, the 12-40 f2.8, 7-14 f2.8 and 40-150 f2.8. My favourite has to be the 7-14 f2.8, the ultra wide fov really allows me to compose dynamic images in a way few other lenses can.
Landscapes fascinate me, the ever changing light, the tones, the way it can touch us emotionally. I'm just as happy being out chasing the light on a cold damp dreary day as a spectacular Golden Hour, the landscape changes so much and it should be celebrated for all the moods and atmospheres it has.
Based near Oldham I have an ideal location to get out into some stunning locations, North Yorkshire, Lakes, the Pennines, Peak District and of course the coasts. I'm always happy at the coast, especially if its a stormy windy day, I grew up on the East coast so the sea is special to me.
