Photography has always been a great passion of mine. I grew up being mesmerised by my father using his Leica camera and developed the same passion for capturing images over the years.
I am half British and half German and grew up in Hamburg, Germany. After graduating from university in Edinburgh, Scotland, I worked for two multi-national organisations in Australia and Singapore. During my time there I travelled extensively, documenting my experiences through photography, allowing my photographs to tell their story.
In 2004 I made the decision to leave the corporate world behind to fulfill my life long ambition of becoming a freelance photographer. I am now based in London after having worked as a freelance photographer out of Asia for 6 years.
As the official Tough Mudder European photographer 2014 (sponsored in Germany by Olympus), I was given the opportunity to use and familiarise myself with the range of Olympus cameras and haven’t looked back. The versatility offered by such compact, lightweight and resilient equipment was great when shooting Tough Mudder and has proved itself vital in many aspects of my photography since.
