Die Waldau ist ein Teil des Bonner Stadtwaldes und besteht zum größten Teil aus Mischwald. Die Kopfbuchen sind bis zu 250 Jahre alt. Der Krüppelwuchs ist durch die früher praktizierte Art der Holzgewinnung entstanden. Dieser Teil des Waldes wird auch "Gespensterwald" genannt.
