What the Jury says

David Benz

Elemental force water. The most powerful and massive element of our blue planet. A theme, which is on photographers´ minds since decades and generates stunning and awesome photographs again and again. Winner tomstgeorge.com successfully represents water in its purest form and shows the impressive depth and width of the underwater landscape. He succeeded in placing the diver as a model among the rays of sunshine in a fairytale underwater scenery. Because of the powerful 8mm fisheye lens the photographer was able to handle the difficult lighting conditions in the Mexican cenote. So he transferred the mystical mood into his image very effective. Congratulations!
